I don't even have a fridge.. so not much at all. Can't wait until next year when I can get an actual apartment instead of a dorm and have a real kitchen.

This is what I did over the summer:

1st week: probably about $100 on:
-25 lb bag of rice (about $35)
-spices and seasoning
-canned goods (veggies, SPAM)
-cereal
-tupperware
-lemonade powder

Every week after the first: less than $30
-chicken drumsticks
-frozen veggies
-fresh veggies (scallions? fuck yeahhhh)
-milk (as needed)
-eggs (as needed)

^^ this was less than $20 a typically, 3 meals a day. Cook 2 portions at dinner for lunch the next day (hence the need for tupperware), also assuming 2-3 chicken drumsticks per meal and half a cup of rice per serving (it's a lot). Of course, it was a pretty miserable existence as well, as I pretty much cut out all junk food (except for lemonade), ice cream, alcohol, eating out, etc. The first week is the most expensive part, but after that, it's pretty much rice + _________ and that's a cheap meal

i spend about $50 every two weeks, sometimes more or less

common staples are

organic milk
russian bread from this local store
eggs
cereal, usually honey bunches of oats!
tea

the rest can change depending on what i'm wanting to eat. for a while i bought tons of tortillas and cheese to make quesadillas, then i bought several cans of tomato basil soup. recently i just bought a ton of vegetables (onions, tomatoes, bell peppers) and fruits (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries) and i eat those. i don't really know how to cook so i just eat them. it's intense but feels good man

I spend about $100-120 a month

$50 at Costco to buy bulk on diet Pepsi, frozen raviolis, milk, bread, and frozen burritos

$50 at grocery to buy green bell peppers, tomatoes. onions, carrots, canned greens and corn, ramen, pasta sauces, tortillas, eggs, hot dogs, chorizo, biscuit dough, cheese, cans of tuna, peanut butter, tea packets, and one small cut of New York steak.

And I freeze most of it so this all lasts me longer than the month so next month I only get refills on the things I finished (mainly the Pepsi, teas, and the veggies)
