Hey cool :] I liked Duke. He's one of the few lasting game characters that actually had some personality. And it looks like they actually did a good job at bringing the character and things up to the latest technology while still keeping the things it was known for like pig-bad guys and strippers and obscenities intact haha. I'll be giving this a play when it comes out

are people actually excited due to the fact this is a new duke nukem game or just cuz it's taken more than a decade to come out

just like the original duke nukem it looks like a standard shooter with added comedy and pigs

yet people will purchase, play and enjoy the game regardless

although it would be disappointing if the game was actually not fun

anyone with unrealistic expectations will of course be disappointed

but if it's a good game it's a good game, 12 years of development be damned

i like how a bunch of publications are crediting this to gearbox and mentioning borderlands even though borderlands was a fucking horrible game which combined the linearity and crappy storyline of an fps with the grinding and clunky mechanics of an rpg to make an absolute atrocity with no redeeming values aside from the pretty graphics

only possible delay for me now is if the pricks i pre-ordered from screw up

i didn't want to order from them but nobody else were taking pre-orders except for gamestop which is a surefire ticket to getting fucked

i snagged a copy of the demo last night so i could try it myself, i liked it except for the shrink gun, i don't get the point of it. it makes targets harder to shoot and their bullets still hurt you as much as they would if they were normal sized

that reminds me, the beer can effect was really detrimental too ,but it said it was supposed to make me tougher. maybe it does minimize damage but i could barely see anything
