Title: Computer ram confusion
Post by: GhostingFish on November 4, 2010 09:10 PM
So last week I picked up a computer from someone And its in excellent condition. Its the  HP Pavilion 304w .

It was never opened and the RAM was only 128mb. So I looked around the internet for the specs of my pc and I got some uneasy information. Hp's site says that it maxes out at 1GB of ram, but like every other sites say that it can go up to 2GB.

So should I go with 1GB or 2GB?

if the motherboard can support 2gb, then get 2gb. but if it came with 128, it sounds like it's a really old machine with ddr1 ram. even with 2gb it will still be a shitty computer.
