I know it's probably old but I found this in my recommended videos on youtube, It's my understanding that the back alleys is a major supporter of rina-chan related material, but I didn't know it was such a big thing, anyways I invited the maker of the video to join the forum, I hope you guys don't mind, It was just so funny, also this guy would have to be the best animator on the site hands down if he joined, I'm sure he could give us some advice.

General / a man who liked the circus
August 1, 2010 06:02 PM
Once there was a man, a regular guy like you or me. He liked to goto the circus, he made sure to go every time they were in town, and he always had a great time. The act he like the most was the clowns, for some reason it seemed he just couldn't get enough of them. so one year a new circus came to his small town, being that he had never seen this particular circus before the man was excited to see how good the clowns were, so he got a ticket for the front row right in front of the center ring, but what the man didn't know was that the lead clown at this circus was very mean, and he liked to taught the audience, especially the people who sat in the front row. Like every circus before it the man walked in with the crowd and took his seat front and center excited as ever to see the clowns. He sat through all the other acts, the lion tamer ,and the acrobats, and the elephant riders, all the time excited to watch the grand finale clowns. Finally at last the clowns came out and became to do their act, as usually the man couldn't get enough of it he laughed and laughed, until suddenly the lead clown stopped and pointed out the man, and boy did he let him have it. the whole audience laughed at the mans expense as the clown mocked him, and bashed him, and tortured him with his cruel taunts, the man left the circus in a furry, and left town for fear that he had been made into a joke, he just knew the whole town would be talking about him and what a mockery he had become, and this he could not stand for. he decided to travel the world seeking advice from the greatest minds he could find. He searched every country, climbed every mountain, looking for the greatest wise men and gurus of his time. he crossed lakes and oceans ad hiked for miles and finally after 10 years of his life spend he was finally ready to return and find the clown that had tormented him so servers. he returns to his old home town just in time for the circus, and he's in luck it's the same circus from last time with the same clowns and everything. so he get's his ticket and sits front row, right in front of the center ring. he waits patiently for all of the other acts to pass, the acrobats and the loin tamers are of no importance to him. finally at last the clowns come out and just as last time the lead clown stops and points out the man, he begins to start in on him, and the man stands up prepared to defend himself, he points the the clown with a grin on his face and says...

Alien Swarm

Available free of charge, the game thrusts players into an epic bug hunt featuring a unique blend of co-op play and squad-level tactics. With your friends, form a squad of four distinct IAF Marine classes. Plan your attack using an unlockable arsenal of weapons with countless loadout configurations against a wide variety of aliens. Blaze your way through an overrun, off-world colony, eradicating the alien infestation in environments ranging from the icy planet's surface, to a subterranean lava-flooded mining facility.

I played around in the offline mode a bit and the game seems pretty good so far, I'm about to play it online now.

this game actually look's pretty cool to me, i don't know if any of you guys like mmorpg's and i know they tend to be bad but the live action battle system, using the action source engine developed by value, and brags about in interactive game world where you can even pick up corpses of your defeated enemies and use them as weapons.

I think I'm gonna give this a try, just wanted to see what you all think.

The Gallery / sketches and so on
May 3, 2010 05:19 PM
ok I've sort of been looking for advice on art and stuff lately so i figured" hurp a durp why don't i post some stuff on tba". so I figured i'd start a "dump" style thread.

to start of with here is a few sketches from a few days or weeks ago i don't really remember all i wrote is the last 2 digits of the year on it.

i really liked this painting(Saturn Devouring His Sons, by Goya) when my art history teacher showed it to the class during a lecture on art and beauty. so for my next sketch is going to be a version of it, focusing on the mythology, although Goya's painting was more to relate the myth to the event's of his time period.

The Gallery / Computer grapics class
April 21, 2010 09:56 PM
I've been doing some intresting projects in my photoshop class and was wondering what i might do to improve on my work, all constructive critisism is apreiciated.

this was my first photoshop project, it was to make a movie poster for a movie among a list of old movies, and try to make it look more modern.

this was a small project were we had to use the statue of liberty to show america in distress, the teacher is having me put it in an art show.

this is a project where we had to dramaticly change the size of an object, i chose to make the hand vary large, to sort of represent the hand of god or some sort of creating force.

again, any constructive feedback is much apreciated.

I play magic the gathering constantly and competitively. I've thrown it into conversations on the chat a few times with no luck for a responce. im really not trolling, it's a good game.

at any rate the new set comes out this month and im going to the prerelease this friday to compete in allentown, there will be something like 50-100 participates.

this is the new set. there are alot of new powerful cards that could see play among a number of competitive formats.

magic the gathering: discuss?
