Entertainment / animal crossing 3ds
August 25, 2010 04:16 PM
wait wait wait waitdww wwwwwwwwww
theyre actually trying to do something different for the next animal crossing game

QuoteDetails are scarce at the moment but it is confirmed that the character plays as the mayor of the town. It also appears that the art style of the game has changed significantly, with now the lower torso of the humanoid character becoming visible, unlike other entries into the series. With the help of the townsfolk and 'one eager secretary' it will be the character's job to make the town a better place to live.[

i dont know if you guys care about animal crossing but to me these changes seem just delightful. hopefully theyll be significant enough to offer more fun. from what they say it looks like the goal of the game has changed and its not just paying off tom nook for all of eternity

i dont know if the screenshot i posted was good enough to show this, but the animals now have this cool flat painted look thats unique and refreshing

General / improvement
December 17, 2009 03:36 AM
ok i make a lot of threads in software help.
basically i am sick of drawing and i want to basically just focus on improving to the point that one day i will be able to enjoy it.
until now ive just been drawing everything absolutely wrong.
so what is the most valuable aspect of art to begin at? should i study anatomy first? i have a little pose doll thing, and i drew it a lot and that didnt really help me. im not in college and as far as i know there arent any good art classes around, so how can i go about learning the basics of the human body? should i buy a book about it? can i go to a website of poses and just study those?
i know i have a lot of questions and im not exactly sure what i expect to see from you guys, but what im basically looking for is the best way to improve my art independently, not in a class (for now).

General / drawing
November 1, 2009 06:20 PM
uh i think ive made a topic like this before but its always something that bugs me and i need to be gay and vent
i really really hate drawing, but i always want to draw
whats up with that
i draw things that i hate and am completely disappointed with the results and the whole time i draw im frustrated and unhappy
but i keep doing it over and over again
i guess it might be because i set my standards way too high
i see all these great artists and im like 'im going to draw as well as this person!!!' and then i try and mess up
i dont know why but i really let it get to me and im not sure what the point of making art is if you arent even enjoying it
was there ever a point where one of you felt like this and found some solution that rejuvenated your love of drawing
