I reuploaded my tutorial on seekbars.
You probably aren't going to use it; all modern web video players have seekbars.
Here it is anyway.

I made it for anipedia and flashkit in 2009, I dont know if it got a lot of use; there were no counters or download numbers on either page.

I noticed too; more people were keen on adding or using scenes to their flash movies. This crappy seekbar only works with a single scene, not multiple (sorry). Its probably not worth using anyway heh.

Like I remember vividly seeing this game alongside a StarTrek FPS in the same issue of PCGAMER in 1998 but I had no PC to play them on and envied anyone who did  :D , but whatever.

QuoteYou have other obscure games with interesting stories?

I could probably go thru any issue of PCGamer and find a ton of obscure game ads/demos. Its true.
Wow check it out, its that game Coolboyman and I both played.

A lot of PC game stuff is still foreign to me, idk.
Like Wizardry 8 was awesome and I never saw presentation like it again but I could never remember the name.
It used to be abandonware up until a few years ago when it got re-released on steam.
NOX was the diablo clone that time forgot, and that also got rereleased on GOG.com

There was this one version of Warhammer30k that was a turn based rpg version of the table top game for PC, but you can't run it on modern hardware without an emulator / DOSBOX of some kind.

The neverhood game was a real gem, but everyone knew that one, altho only a handful of ppl got to play it on PC or the Sega Saturn.

I didnt realize more than one news company covered the sirtom schoool burning ATTEMPT.
I remember pasting the readers digest article in all of its corniness and camp to TBA; something like "Rig was a bald clark  kent, but that didnt stop him" shit like that. lol

I sbutmitted something to OCremix around my birthday in feb. They didn't really like it, and they tend to like stuff that's arranged a certain way to be $$$monetized$$$. While I do think it could've been mixed a lot better; their leaning toward super-arrangements frightens me; Some of their remixes on the albums, sound nothing like the original.
I'm not gonna be bothered to bend backwards to make something like that CUZ I HAPPEN TO LIKE THE SONG I AM REMIXING A LOT

They said NO to MARVEL SUPER HEROES - SPIDERMAN , MELANCHOLIC ARACHNILAD (CHIPTUNE)

Here it is:

Quotenobody knew how to make an aesthetically pleasing website back then
Animated video game gifs next to ur "Gamer Tipz" would easily put your website in the top 5 yahoo pages but yea.
I'm pretty sure the majority of them back then were all text, (with the occasional insufferable titanic midi) before bigger plugins stepped in.

I wasn't around for when anime turnpike or happy puppy were actual things; I heard happy puppy got sold for a fortune tho.

Quote from: Dr. DiegO on May 10, 2024 01:29 AMI love to hear a good soundtrack In a videogame, but sometimes I manage to found OSTs that are just beautiful. one of them are Ubisoft's Beyond Good & Evil. a couple of particular songs come to my mind when I remember this game.

Do you have other pieces you want to share?

These aren't bad, I didn't play Beyond Good and Evil. thx for that  B)

These probably won't sound as stunning cuz they were made in the psx era in 1999.
Saga 2 is probably one of the better soundtracks from that period
It's a combination of heavy piano and ambient techno beats (sorta).
It sounds like "typical rpg music" to most today, but back then no one had heard anything like it; most stuff before it were pseudo-orchestral crap. The soundtrack listing is in german on purpose; the composer was born in germany to japanese parents. People tend to overlook this one because while the story wasn't that bad, the gameplay and series progression staple-- wasn't very good (e.g. casting spell several times to learn a new one).

Some of Unlimited Saga's music was alright too, but the game was also arguably shit. Like if stronger numbers are the worst game mechanic, then a game without those numbers but with the same amount of hours needed is worse. idk
