Quote from: rtil on February 20, 2026 06:49 PMthere's gotta be something out there considering how popular DOOM still is.

last year i re-played DOOM 1 and 2 and everything else that is in the collection on Steam. i was really impressed by some of the modpack games, especially Legacy of Rust and No Rest for the Living.

Yeah, it's impressive how making the source code of your game free and accessible grants it immortality. there is one option, It's called "Eureka", but compare to Ultimate Doom Builder lacks a lot of stuffs. recently they made the option to compile it as a Flatpak (a type of application for Linux) I tried it and still sucks.

I really cannot believe this, Half-Life and Quake have mapping tools available on Linux (Quake: Trenchbroom - Half-Life: J.A.C.K.) and HL is not even Open Source compare to it's cousin. Might i just wait or bite the bullet and give Eureka a shot.

Each day, I'm slowly starting to hate the Doom community

Well, there's a big setback with this road. I need to find a more suitable Mapping Software for Linux. Ultimate Doom Builder simply won't work and the dev really don't care about Linux users.

Who can say, but I'll like to imagine that they tried to follow the message at the end of the flash and acknowledging their reputation and try to do something.

1)Re-watched: Matilda (1996)

One of my all-time favorites. Its always fun to see this movie, the visual aspect of this movie its odd and surreal but charming. one of my favorite Danny DeVito productions.

2)Re-watched: The Beach (2000)

The locations are beautiful and impressive and the score is top tier. sadly, this is a very subpar adaptation of a fantastic Novel, the acting is more misses than hits and the second half is weak and that ending is just not good. there's a lot of bad stuffs from the production up to real life damage to a region of Thailand.

Watching YouTube I managed to get an Rtil jumpscare by reaching the SmileyCentral section of this video about the story of Clip Art. it features your Flash alongside an anecdote about trying to hire you because they liked the flash despite that it was made in spite of their advertisement lmao.

It's a good video too. worth checking it out.

So... I got the brilliant idea of doing a thread of movies, shows, comic books, and videogames I watch and give it a small opinion and talk about it in an almost abandoned forum. what could possibly go wrong?

Yeah the new Layout is cool. Rtil be thankful for this small update.

Here where I live, we have cold but not snow, however there's always the chance of getting snow from time to time.
