we managed to give away all our candy, although as the night went on and it was apparent we were going to get less trick-or-treaters than last year, we started giving out giant handfuls. the very last ones got quite a bit. they were pretty happy, lol

out of those 3 i'd have to pick Halloween, although i think Jason is cooler if we are going off the original films Michael Myers wins that battle.

we hang out at the house, put on scary movies, make good food, and pass out candy. last year we gave out 4 bowls, we have about the same amount this year. it's much more fun for me to see all the cool costumes than dress up myself these days. fortunately we live in a fun neighborhood for halloween. here's our front porch this year.

yeah the nsfw thing makes sense as it's a custom thing i coded myself , i'll need to import it in to this theme.

I've added a new theme called "Repulse". It's got a dark mode with several color selections. You can change your theme here, then change it to dark mode, and there are several color options on the right side of the "Repulse" banner that you can pick from which is kinda neat.

back then forums were also a lot more popular and i drove a lot of traffic here from my newgrounds flash cartoons, which had a link to this site at the end. then i stopped posting on newgrounds for a long while, and discord happened, and now this is more of an archive than anything else. but i like the idea of keeping it open, even if i don't advertise it anywhere anymore.

When do you think you could change the forum theme? right now it's pretty bland.

i agree with you, it's just a lot of work and i haven't made it a priority since the forum isn't used nearly as much as the discord. i did start it, but it still needs a lot of polishing until it is usable.

in the meantime, maybe i can find a pre-made darker theme that looks alright, so you guys at least have some other options.

crazy how that is, lol - in my early days of digital art i worked on the same CRT for many years and rarely ever saw my art on any other monitor. i didn't realize until much later that the black levels on it were wrong and many areas i thought were finished had very visible paint splotches all over them.

my angelfire website has completely rotted away now, but i did snake it a while back and preserved some of it. it's super cringe, i made it when i was 11. i am pretty sure i've shared pieces of it before, but if not i can post it again

Obviously this game did not make it out of the private BETA, but it had the fanciest promotional website trying to get users onto it. It failed to find an audience pretty fast and did not survive.

I think I only found out about this game cuz my PC was utter crap and I wanted to try something new. It wasn't listed in PC Gamer or whatever.

Also the game controlled differently; you moved your mouse over the arrows and hit space, instead of hitting Directional Keys to the music like in Flash Flash Revolution or the Original DDR

the style of this is so iconically early 2000's it hurts but i really like it. there were so many DDR clones, i think the biggest PC one ended up being stepmania, at least back then. one of the most infamous gamer rage videos was a guy playing stepmania and smashing his monitor cuz he messed up a 34579834795384 combo. there were already holes in his wall. wonder where that kid is now
