I wanted to embed the trailer, but it won't let me/I couldn't figure out how.

A bunch of articles about it.

I'm still reading everything, but my initial thoughts are:
QuoteI love how AMERICAN it is! Like, romanticized-whoa America--Wild west, roaring 20's, CRAZY/FRIGHTENINGLY patriotic stuff that only comes to mind when you think of America when it was cool/interesting. AND STEAM PUNK.

It feels MILDLY "What next, space?", a la shark jumping, but at the same time, what Bioshock is about, the whole feel and atmosphere of a romanticized utopia gone wrong/dystopia + "WHERE THE FUCK AM I" is still there~ Gonna find out what else they're "keeping" that makes Bioshock Bioshock, since the setting changed.

billy

looks inspired unlike bioshock 2

Shida

I like the look of it, I wasn't too excited about Bioshock 2 cause it was really unneeded, but I already want to play this cause like the woman and the roses, and the big roboty thing! So many mysteries, and I love the super different setting.

I assume you didnt play system shock

Hnilmik

Nope. Totally forgot that Bioshock is like the "spiritual successor" or such-like.

Unreal Engine 3 games have pretty modest requirements. Your computer will probably be able to run it by the time it comes out in 2012.

never mind, it uses an entirely new engine apparently.

KingV

it actually looks pretty Cool

There are so much things about that gameplay that have me intrigued.
I've watched it like 4 times now and i have to say it looks completly fucking awesome and crazy.
But there are a lot of things that don't really make a lot of sense I mean the setting doesn't bother me at all, I love how they took a direction nobody was expectingand but this IS a bioshock game so it has to be tied to the other bioshock but then you see all this technology that's actually more advanced than what we see in bioshock 1 but this game is supposed to be set 40 years prior to bioshock 1, and where do they get the magic powers? from what I saw they are practically the same as the ones in the other games, how will they explain them? Also I don't like that they gave voice to the protagonist.
Maybe I'm just overthinking all of this, I just hope the interesting and creepy atmosphere  that was my favorite part from the original Bioshock translate well into this setting.

I tried sharing a video by this same guy in the same 'literal' scheme about 4-5 days ago, only of Assassins Creed Brotherhood, except nobody would have any of it. Hes done the Halo: Reach trailers, Assassins Creed, this game, and a few others.

But back on topic.

It looks like a good game although I can't quite figure out why it takes place in the sky. Interesting change of scenery though, that should allow fora lot of new stuff. I can't help but think back to the first bioshock and think maybe this has to do with him being on that plane in the beginning...
