Really loving the designs. I'm mostly drawn to Piper, I think her frame and anatomy are really visually appealing.

i used this cool "polaroid generator" to get a photographic effect on the image. i wanted it to look like it was taken by a staff member at wherever they were repairing their ship, and worn after years of sitting around.

Some of these expressions are too reserved to tell them apart. Take for example, Serious, Questioning and Upset; a single eye notch is all that separates them. The use of her faces checks and lips could have been used to make her pout more or her teeth to express more, or just the shoulder actions like you did in some of the others might have helped too. Also Nervous read to me as was more like being annoyed or disgusted (I think it's because her hair contour is on her eye and it makes it look like she's frowning.) Thrilled and
Obnoxious also falls into the category of being almost identical to each other.

My fav expressions were Miserable, Drained, and Witty. In those faces you allowed the character's feature to move around a bit and in turn it looked like there is dimension to her face, because the eyes sink in a little and the lips have form like they are actually a part of a face...a little squash and stretch really looks nice and it keeps the eyes from looking too flat and the anime "single line" mouths from looking like it's just sitting on top of the face.

sometimes it was hard to come up with a face that accurately portrayed the emotion and wasn't similar to another one. there are 26 of them.

i don't really have a problem with a "single line" mouth, nor do i think that it originated in anime.. it's sort of a staple of cartoons and she'd look silly with actual lips. i guess it's where you put the line and how it curves that can make the difference between an interesting expression and a boring one.

Nah I'm not saying the single line mouth "originated" in anime, or that she needs lips haha. I was just trying to give some crit on its depth and its usage to make emotions stand out more.

i remember seeing another chart that had way more dynamic expressions on it, such as: nauseas, triumphant, dizzy, shocked, pissy, grossed out, determined, dreamy, and etc. i wanna see if i can find it since i know i need practice especially with males
