i "draw" with my eraser a lot. i'll do some hatching, smudge it with my finger, and then use the eraser to remove the smudge in places i don't want it. i have one of those gummy erasers you can squish so it's easy to do

my god, a picture that doesn't take place in the sunset! when this is finished it's going to be in a polaroid picture frame as if it was a snapshot from a camera. i want to start illustrating the relationship of these 3 girls. the girl on the left, her name is going to be piper. i don't know about the other two yet, but the middle one is a commercial pilot for the galaxy's largest shipping service, and the girl on the right is an expert in electronics and repair. she's also much older than she looks , and ages much slower than most humans. piper suffered memory less in a crash and doesn't remember much about herself. the story for all of them is slowly taking shape but as of right now it's lots of bits and pieces all over the place. i think the worst thing is that i don't know how it ends, and it's been on my mind for so long.

Finding an end for a story is hard. How about thinking about where you want your characters to end up (physically/development-wise; kinda like "Where do you see yourself in 20 years?" kind of questions) and working towards it (their story hitting all those plot points leading to the "end")?

And if you want to keep going, as opposed to killing everyone (not sure what the theme/feel of this story is yet, but this picture gives off a happy/sunny one), our way of lives are always challenged and the reality is people can change a lot over time until they find a "place" they can be satisfied with.

haha he has gotten so many funny names from different people. they are floating orbs that almost everyone has in this world, kind of like how people have cell phones here. they have 4 different 'slots' you can plug accessories in to so they can help you with various tasks. some people treat them like pets or friends, others simply as tools. depending on how you treat them they adapt to that role

it's not always a happy story, but it is a lot about friendships /relationships. the weird thing is is that i know all these thigns they are going to do in between the beginning and the end, but the end i can never think of something i feel is really significant. i'm just waiting for that epiphany. i guess i haven't been bored enough for it to come to me- that's always when i get good ideas. when i'm doing nothing. but that doesn't happen very often anymore.

They all look different from each other wich is great to distinct their personalities BUT I think their faces are a tad too similar

i don't think their faces are too similar.. they all have different eyes. i wouldn't want to make them too different from eachother so much so that the styles would clash.

ahah, it's funny you mention a tan because i thought about that while painting their skin. they're out in the sun a LOT and they should have tans but they're pretty much as white as they can get. i'll have to conveniently explain that away and say they have some kind of super resistant-to-uv-ray skin cuz, yknow, it's the future
