now that you mention it i have no clue how the deviantart front page system works. i've gotten over 500 faves and it's nowhere to be found on the front page, but most stuff on there only has 100-200 faves (including a meowth fanart so bug was pretty close). and today's top piece is http://nekoni.deviantart.com/art/Waterfall-Watching-96530024

i think it needs to have a high number of faves + comments

or a big number of both at a very small ratio (close to 1:1)
