I like looking at stuff in the private uploader i.e. rtil's ssaf drawing :>

the uploader is fucked, you can still upload stuff but it doesn't add the stuff to the long list anymore. It does upload it though.

long needed update:
1. fixed the problem with the page taking like 5 minutes to load. now it should load in something more like 5 seconds
2. fixed the filesize function call error
3. illegal characters get removed from filenames to prevent future directory listing errors

ok, well yeah it's still being fucking slow so i'm going to learn how to just overhaul the damn thing. until then deal with it sadly. but i'm on it

bottom line i have to learn how to code this with sql. i've been taking tutorials today. i'll try to get working on the actual script tomorrow.

i'm removing the uploader temporarily while i learn to build a database of files that are already in the folder. then i will re-build the uploader to work with the database

a database has been created containing all the information of the files already in the folder. i'm going to sleep now but tomorrow i should be able to have the uploader back because this is going much faster than i had anticipated

ok folks it is done and ready to go  updates:
1. loads fast now.. FOR REAL. index refers to a mysql database instead of re-creating the index in php every time, i.e. it runs about a billion times faster.
2. you can sort (ascending and descending) by name, size and date uploaded

if there are any errors please tell me. i've tested it a lot today and ironed out everything i ran in to

Wow, it's much faster. Now when I upload mp3s, I won't have to worry about timing out. >_> Also, some mp3 I recently uploaded kinda screwed up the page a little because the mp3 file's name is so dang long. Sorry. <_<

i know where it is heh. problem is i haven't scripted an admin page for myself to manage and delete files (it's not as easy as deleting from the source anymore). either way, i fixed the width issue and there are now 4 statistics @ the bottom of the page.
