google was always "evil" - their ultimate goal is to control, store and distribute all the world's available information. only in a perfect world would a few people controlling so many things not be evil. however i don't really see what the big deal is with this "proposal", i think the overzealous blogger is kind of overreacting about what it says. it's extremely vague, and actually has a lot of content that's pro net neutrality. unless i'm missing something here, the only bad thing in this is the vague wording about new internet services and wireless traffic - which no matter how many people say is the future of the internet, it's not. at least for heavy data traffic.
