I's pretty sure he just left that open the last time he 'used' his laptop and just didn't remember it or uses browser preferences that make the browser continue with the remaining tabs which were still open when closing the whole browser and these tabs haven't been closed separately (such as in Opera).

Or he has a son who is a soulmate of mine and enjoys setting their friends' and relatives' browser hompages to embarrassing shit... in that case it would probably have been meatspin tho...
