I built my own island, then built a fortress upon it.

The pathway to the main dome. The 6 towers on the sides are mostly decoration, I don't have anything actually in them.

i usually do that first day and then move on to a bigger project, because i do it on HARD MODE

Sure lemme just set all my netherstone on fire so all the trees that hold my house in the air can catch fire and the WHOLE FOREST SURROUNDING MY HOUSE FOR MILES CAN BURN ETERNALLY and I will never have wood again.

Today I decided to play around with texture packs.
To get HD ones working you need to use some weird patcher software. Although even after that I couldn't get them to work right.
Oh well, theres plenty of cool looking 16x16 and 32x32 textures out there.

I took some pics of textures I liked and strung them into this gif.
