it's cool, a lot of people don't like tim kinsella (guy from owls and joan of arc) cuz he has a weird voice and his music is pretty strange. i honestly don't even ike everything he has done, it can get tiresome. but i do really love some of his work

then rites of spring is pretty much the first group to be called "emo" (whether you accept that term or not), and i dunno. i like their punk sound mixed with more emotional depth in the lyrics. still, i didn't like them at first, it took a while.
