my important opinions
ofwgktawise: theyre a really good and i have high hopes of them and am really curious to see how goblin does, but all these white hipster bitches are dick riding them really hard at this point and all they fuckin know is bastard and earl. can mike g or mellowhype or domo or even fucking frank ocean get any love? also, theyre really lacking something without earl who was beyond anyone in the groups rapping skill/ their live shows (however awesome and fun and crazy they get and the crowd gets) im not a big fan of the more i see them because they always play the real song and just sing over it and have the track finish their lines instead of the 8 other faggots in the group

strokeswise: had a couple songs i loved a couple i hated like the good ones (under cover/ taken for fool) are great and the bad ones (youre so right, metabolism) suck complete dick i thought it was a 6.5/10 or so yep

Yeah It's unfortunate that Mellowhype and the others don't get any attention. It proves that America wants to be sold a personality. Tyler has the most personality, so he gets the most attention. This is my theory on why electronically produced music doesn't fair well here, the producers aren't trying to sell an identity. There are a few exceptions like Daft Punk, Deadmau5 and Richard D. James, but otherwise they let the music express everything. Luckily, Tyler is also an amazing producer, so he deserves all the popularity he gets. I love the hazey production on everything OF puts out. I also have hope that their live shows will improve as they grow out of their current novelty. Really they're more about the studio, though, which isn't a problem. Considering where they come from, I'm convinced that the edge Tyler and the rest of them possess won't be sacrificed, even as they continue to "sell out," as Tyler constantly implies. Part of me wishes they were still a little novelty act from the internet, but they really deserve mainstream popularity.

Also, I love World's End Girlfriend so much.
