i was rushing to get to a party last night so i redid her colours anyway and finished up some other things. i like the cel look a lot more for things with heavy lineart like this.

quick question: i'm redoing radish's sprites over the last few days and i'm really stuck on a colour scheme for him. what sort of colours would you guys find appealing on a knight character? i'm looking at two main ones - armour and under-armour. just trying to find a good combo

i think brass armor could be cool
like it would make it look like an antique which would fit his gun
and the under armor might look cool as reddish brown

well since he's a radish knight maybe his armor should be some kind of metallic unsaturated magenta
that or try making it some kind of wooden machinery type of armor (like sequoia wood with lots of cogs, gears, and pumps etc etc)

I like the original design so far for this game.
If anything, the brass color on the gun doesn't match his armor, but I'm not complaining.
I like the whole reddish feel of his under-armor because it gives him that bold, "player one" feel if you know what I mean.
I dunno I guess red/1P is just a standard that blue, green and yellow just can't fill.
Maybe later on in development, you can make sprites with different color armor when the player achieves something, like gold armor for beating the game, or wonder armor I dunno.

whilst working on radish's new sprites i did this concept art of an angler thing for the water levels

im sure billy knows enough about games that he'll be able to make the water stages tolerable and not a frustrating bag of shit like pretty much every video game ever
