I agree with some of his reviews
then again pointing at a movie like taxi driver and saying "it's really something!" doesn't exactly get you any critic points

just came out of the movies from watching it.

I tought it was brilliant. The scenery was very beautiful and the story is very interesting. The designs of the characters are a bit odd but you start liking them after a few minutes. Its about an alien culture of blue people with tails who are very connected to nature and stuff and you get to like them trough the movie.and Mankind wants to pretty much take over their homeworkd to get their hands on a rare substance.

I really really really really loved it.

but I wouldnt watch it again in some time because the movies is tho fuckin long! (but good)

I wasn't sure if the were over a deposit of rock or a deposit of oil.
Kinda confusing.

lol With all seriousness though, it was spectacular movie with great visuals. Definitely recommend seeing it in 3D.

emanhattan

mexifry it was a deposit of valuable rocks

shura

it sounds kinda like the plot of princess mononoke :/
but if its really that good i guess i'll check it out

lmao I guess the joke didnt cross over too well on the internet.
My point being that this movie was pretty much trying way too hard to copy the story of how horribly we treated the indians.

The Good Ole Ant

looks like my barber was wrong about this one being good!!!

Budget:    $237,000,000

Domestic:      $73,000,000
+ Foreign:     $159,180,000
= Worldwide:     $232,180,000

Avatar just made most of its money back this weekend

the real budget is $300m, the other $70m you don't see was spent on marketing
it hasn't made its money back, and domestically it will take a while

really the numbers aren't that impressive for the hype considering half the critics thought it was going to be another titanic-esque b.o. epoch with a $100m+ opening weekend

that being said titanic made its money over the long haul, but i don't see a blue alien space opera lingering around at the top of the box office for 15/16 weeks

i had predicted $60m-$80m for opening on BOM, the movie just doesn't have the appeal that titanic did to a wider audience

creamcorn

yeah just like watchmen
the world aint ready yet for blue alien dick

emanhattan

too much blue people on movies these days i gues

"why is this movie so mean???" -typical roger ebert review for any comedy movie that isn't boring and basically a drama movie
