I find Toon Boom to be an excellent program for animation. Much better than Flash. Sure, with flash you can have coding and stuff, but for animation, toon boom is more focused towards that goal. Besides, I can import my toon boom animation into flash, so I get the best of both worlds!

The main advantage is that there is a PROPER camera. Flash has no camera built in. And the tools are just wonderful. I mainly do frame by frame animation, but it can do tweening stuff too! (but i ignore it)
