Alright, I've been practicing my drawing a lot recently, and a lot of this practice has been for contests. Unsurprisingly, things did not go as planned and now these contests are null and void. To celebrate my frustration, I have opened this thread in which I will post all the drawings I feel like posting.

Now, without further ado, I present to you...

1.) I was poking around the delicious threads when I found a thread about new members and drawing Redmongoose. Since I thought of something for it I decided to draw the picture, and subsequently after completion I found out the thread was locked.

2.) This big hulking and misunderstood fellow is called a Syrkattis. It was for Creature of the Week #66 on NG () and was the only submission, meaning that its a real WINNER!! I have a whole description block right here if you want to slog through it.

Name: Syrkattis (sir-cah-tiss)
Common name: Syrka
Member of Kakris family
Avg Weight: 1 tonne
Avg Height: 10ft

"The Syrkattis, or the 'Syrka' (sir-cah) to the common people, is a large insectoid creature closely related to the civilized Kakrima. Preferring to live in mountain regions has given this species incredibly strong armor and muscle to back it up.
At first glance Syrka appear to be no more than brutal monsters, but their appearance betrays their concience greatly. Even though their claws may have been used to crush bone and carapace in the past, they now use them to cultivate and process mushrooms, and as palettes for their paint made from such plants. To apply the paint they make use of their own long antennae, which are tipped in bristly hairs that make for great brushes.
Although not the best artists, there seems to be thought behind Syrka paintings. Crude drawings of mountains, mushrooms, circles and even their own species have been seen applied to walls. More peculiar than this is the appearance that other Syrka will recognize these paintings, occasionally touching them up when they begin to wear, or vandalizing them entirely.
It is not known when this revelation of art had come to these great invertibrates, but it proves that Syrka are capable of sentience, and it may be worth the struggle to make contact."

BTW, That post down there by a guy named Slosh is actually mine, as it appears I somehow have two accounts. I have no idea how that occured, and if you would be so kindly to regard that as my post, please do.

Alright, I kinda rushed posting these cause I was in a bad mood, but I will update the first post and maybe add some more pictures, this time with description!

Heres something I drew earlier this year. The anatomy on this seems piss-poor to me, but I was mainly practicing perspective at the time. The subject is just a street punk from a city in my little world vandalizing a billboard, but, 'gasp'! What is he so startled about? Find out next time!
