sometimes I get logged out of here randomly but when I go to log in again all my info is there

i used to have this issue when firefox would randomly decide to delete all my bookmarks/passwords, i got really sick of it so it's not my primary browser anymore

no ff never does that, none of the versions does

when ff crashes and you open it right afterwards again you will get logged in with a different firefox profile, that means all your bookmarks etc. aren't gone, they are just elsewhere, on another profile.

also i am using ff3 but i will use crom from now on.
well of course it's not supposed to do that, but mine used to

well, as i said

it doesn't really do that. it just creates a new profile on firefox and doesn't even feel the need to tell you. I have no idea how to change the profile anymore, it had something to do with the cmd.exe and is really hard to figure out (i wonder why) but it works, you can recover your old profile.

but yeah, I'm using google chrome again and i love it. I stopped using that only because it doesn't support Tor-Button, now I will just use chrome and use firefox for tor shit.
but mine really did do that. it would do the new profile thing - but it would delete my old profile, and everything that went with it. i tried a lot of ways to get the information back, but it never worked. although firefox doesn't do that to me anymore, it's no longer my primary browser. i find it to be a lot slower than every browser except IE. i used to use it just for torbutton and firebug, but then i found out opera has two equivalent tools called proxywidget and dragonfly, respectively. so i can finally use one browser for everything (bar jacked up microsoft sites you have to visit in IE).

ff3 on windows, opera 9.6 on osx
let's all set our phasers on "boring"

The last reply to this was days ago, but, hell:
I use IE8 on this, and contrary to everything I've ever heard ever, nothing has ever gone wrong.
I use IE6 on another computer, and contrary to everything I have ever heard ever, it works perfectly. I do see a lot of reminders "Upgrade! We don't support you anymore! Upgrade! One more time now:Upgrade! Hey! You! Upgrade!" They make me rather angry.

The problem with IE6 is the security is shit and and it has next to no support for CSS.

IE6 may work perfectly for you, but it's a nightmare for developers. IE6 follows hardly any rules of w3c (web development) standards, has hundreds of security holes and probably worst of all no png transparency support.

if a site looks the same in IE6 compared to any other browser it's because the developer cared enough to re-design the entire site just for IE6. i'm kind of overexaggerating, but i'm also kind of not.
