The "transformations" are ways to introduce "new" Pokemon without them being new. The second Diamond & Pearl came out every single new Pokemon was revealed the next day and the surprise was over. They add different forms, instead of new evolutions that would make the Pokedex count go higher, to sort of have new Pokemon introduced years down the line with each "generation" lasting for at least 3-4 years each.

Doing a remake of that a couple years from now (at the longest) is probably the only other thing they can do once this "generation" is all done, which I wouldn't mind or anything since I liked the G/S stuff a lot, but seriously what do you do after you make a Pokemon GOD.

they should go back to the basics and make simpler pokemon similar to the ones in generations 1 and 2.

I had this fakemon ( fan-made pokemon) idea of a knight made of rock .  I called it roknight (a combination of rock and knight.   bad name i know)   His design is pretty simplistic; his body is made of rock shaped similar to knight armor.   Mind you i didn't draw it because i suck, but you get the idea.

I also had an idea of a ghost type pokemon.   His design was based off of poes form zelda ocarina of time.   I called it Lispecter ( a combination of light and specter).   once again, it has a simplistic design; just a Grey ghost with a lantern.

And maybe a hamster pokemon would be nice...

It's not that i don't like the newer pokemon from generations 3 and 4.   Heck, Some like Tropius and Salamence are really good.  But they're far too complex.   Especially the legendaries.
