He's just trying to justify his own lack of imagination. He is pretty much sticking with a character he said he created as a child.

most cartoonists i see on the internet already moved onto new characters they created recently instead.

i think its a great and delicious irony of newgrounds in that all the 'popular' animators really hate animating. it sums up everything wrong with the place so well.

the ones who are churning out stupid clone games that could have any kind of art slapped on them

the swain is not special because he has total artistic freedom, if anything it makes him more disposable

Yeah, I actually used to be a fan of his animation, etc. Hated Blockhead, I just liked to watch it move... I still like it, to a degree, but his comments about how it's just "data entry" have kind of ruined it. If he's not having fun animating, and he knows it, I can't respect him. Even aside from that his obsessive hatred for rtil and tba is also a big downer

he's a nice guy but yeah this semi-vendetta against tba and the fact that merely mentioning ryan makes him go off on a 20 minute rant is a bit silly
