Contretemps would be better if it wasn't that same scale over and over again but it was good

i didnt put very much time in the recording (i just recording gutiar and singing at the same time and then added a lot of compression) but i like the way it turned out (other than the obvious fuckups in the first chorus where i forgot the words and other shit)

I liked the song for a slut but I think the sound of the guitar is too strong and I can barely hear what youre singing

I dont know if you can record the guitar first and then your voice later on but thats probably what id do

Okay I'll say something since you really want input....

The first one was really rough. The guitar was all over the place (like the beat dun dun dun was not consistent and had little gaps) and it was recorded way too loud, like your voice sounded really stressed trying to sing over it. It kinda lost its status as a music piece when you interrupted to say "there would be a solo here blah blah", and it turned this into a "recorded practice session". And you took large gasps right into the piece which kinda reinforces the idea that this was not something expected to be listened on a playlist, but a one-timer to see how you're doing. I still think it has merit in that sense. You can play well; it just needs practice to get the rhythm of the strings down. And you could exercise more singing techniques where you practice to hold air in your diaphragm and project it clearly so it's not wheezing. But it's better than what I can do, since I have no idea how to read music or have the openness to attempt singing out loud to an audience.

The 2nd one was a little better. It had a lonely air to it. And the guitar beat was nice. It overall sounds more cohesive in terms of sound intermixing with the singing. Like the way the words went up and down, became the 2nd line of rhythm or something. I think this one could probably be redone to sound even better and has more potential to become something a person would listen to on a player than the 1st song. Maybe the next song you can add a little more spice to it? I know it's not really the same, but if vaguely reminded me of this: (like the way it's telling a story and has a repeating main line used as a chorus) although this has a little more "rock" to it, but that might help your own sound too??
