anyway I've now reinstalled Vista for the 2nd time. I installed Flash and am not going to install anything else for a week or so and see what happens, to see if this shitty problem can be traced to a program i was using. I suspect Quicktime/iTunes to be the culprit but I'll have to wait and see what happens. Also gonna try and stay off the internet, probably won't mean anything but i'm trying to eliminate as many variables as I can (posting from Internet Explorer   ). So it could be a while before I return, i will write you all postcards from real life

perhaps we will meet again one day

vista hasn't yeilded a single problem for me, the only ones I have stemming from not having a powerful enough comp

I think its time you sought professional help

yeah go back to dos that's what im using

it has a new ascii technology where you can actually use a mouse. The mouse is an ascii and looks like |\. It's a pretty nice operating system with all the updates e t c.

It also shows you the layout of programs and websites and shit in ascii, even youtube videos and flashes. Pretty cool.

For a few weeks I was calling Adobe tech support almost every other day. They were just running through the motions and making me do all this stupid shit that I knew wasn't related and so finally I decided calling them any more would be a waste of time and reinstalled Vista. However, if it fails again, even with nothing else installed, I'm going to have to call them again and hopefully I can bypass most of their standard routine.

Windows Vista is resourse intensive (taking up nealy half my RAM as it is), and iTunes can interfere with Vista (and iTunes causes problems with Windows Sideshow). The only PCs I have seen run Vista "as intended" is those PCs that are made pretty much for games (my PC is running with 2GBs o' RAM and an ATI X1300 vid card, and several of the more expensive demo PCs at my Best Buy are running Vista nicely). One thing I would like with Windows 7 is less resource consumption (to me, that is Vista's major flaw, and Windows 7 Beta has the system requirements similar to Vista).

Unless you have the supercomputer as mentioned above, you should stick with XP.
