Here are two more loops for the TBA Fighter Soundtrack
The first one I finished a while ago, and it's missing quite a bit, but I felt a lonely jazz sorta thing going for Ry99an's character
There will probably be vocals and way more sax/woodwind work, but I didn't wanna invade into Jack Kirby's domain using brass.

The second one I just finished up a while ago, which is the music for Red's first character...himself.
It's a remix of one of his older tracks, but I worked on it during the past few days and figured I should post something.
I dunno what type of music this is, but I might slither back into jazz as I work more into it.

Rotating 3D RPG Battle music

What I like about the battle music is how it really does convey the feel of turning/rotating~ There's a "constant" feel about it. I really like it and it makes we wanna find out how everything'll turn out once this music is coupled with the visuals.

This is gonna be a weird bunch of questions to ask, but as a curious person who just doesn't know what musicians go through, I hope you don't mind!

How do you come up with your music? Is it a matter of figuring out what kind of audio elements would the listener easily recognize and putting it together? What kind of process do you go through when, say, you're commissioned to work on something? Is it as easy as humming random notes to yourself, hoping it isn't too much like something you heard before, and expanding on them?

; I assume music isn't that easy to put together whenever I hear things like "bridge" and not quite know what it means, much less recognize it by ear. I wish I knew what one person meant when s/he said that Lady Gaga's music is complex compared to, say, Christina Aguilera's music...

Actually, I do believe his uni animation's already done, and it went over well!

I don't think they're weird at all, in fact I'm flattered that you'd ask 'cause hardly anyone asks :]
Sometimes it's as easy as humming random notes to myself, other times, not so much.
I've found myself doing a lot of subconscious stuff where it sounds like something else without meaning to, it even sounds like my other stuff sometimes.
Quite often this semester, I'd just be sitting in class during a lecture and something would pop up. I'd have to write it down before I forgot
A lot of times, I'll stumble across a sound or something, and I'll get this  of a look on my face.

But yeah, you hit the nail on the head about the expanding part.
They don't expand far though 'cause I used to get a bunch of ideas a day, so I'd stop working on one to work on another.
Sometimes I'd run out of ideas at the time, so I have many tracks left at 8 second loops

When I get "commissioned" to do something, usually I'll look at some pics (if he/she provided any) and gather ideas from there.
It's a bit more difficult because there's a deadline, and this is inbetween me fighting classes, but it's nothing I can't handle

I think there's a different level of difficulty for everyone.
I'm working on trying to be more diverse and use different sounds than the ones I use all the time.
I end up grabbing the quickest sounds I can (drum, clap, hihats, bass, piano) and do something quickly so I can work on it later.
I don't use the word bridge in music too often, but I can only assume they're talking about transitioning from one part of a piece of music to another.
I hardly know who Lady Gaga is apart from Pokerface, but I don't know enough about either of 'em to be able to compare them
