Hello everyone, I'm new here and i was looking for some tips on drawing. So far I've be just scribbling what has been coming to my head. I guess thats fine, but what i make just looks like something from a poorly made comic book. If anyone here is really good at making anime or anything like that, i would love to hear how you started drawing, and what you had to do to become so well at it. Thank you for your time.

I'm not looking for anime... What ever work Rtil does, that is more of what i am wanting to learn, sorry about that, I'm not sure what its called then.  =^/

you can post your art or flash in the art uploads forum and i'd be happy to give advice. and other people too, on occassion.

I suggest that if you want to go for an anime looking style, check out some How To Draw Anime books from the library, as well as other forms of art.

it's pretty undeinable that there is a hint of anime influence in my style. when i grew up that was all i drew. i should have known better. now it will always be engrained in my art in some way or form. but, i'm not sure what you can call it. i myself can usually tell who drew what without someone telling me if i know there work, so i just call it name-of-person's  style.

It's just rtil's style. Like him, my style will always have influences from anime and manga, and I think my style is starting to evolve back into it again (goddamn), but I wouldn't want anyone to call it anime because it makes me cringe.
