opera is really very good when its done well. although when its done poorly, its awful.
only a small amount of people do it well so its a bit of a gamble listening to it.

there are still some hilarious people on there, but it's also depressing to see so many really enthusiastic people get kicked off. They did this huge lead-up to a guy's audition, talking about how he wanted to sing really badly. and this guy is fucking ugly, like, he looks like a rodent and has grubby blond hair and stubble on his face and buck teeth and i REALLY WANTED HIM TO BE GOOD and then simon cowell was all FUCK YOU and it was over
