How is this done? Zekey always has one on the SS and 10 % of CampNorth have them as their profile picture. Every time I do one i flash, it's all fuzzy.

i forget, does changing the jpeg quality on "publish settings" affect image quality in general? try putting that on 100 before exporting.

it probably wont work, but give it a shot, because if its not that its just fucking around with settings.

the problem with flash is that it has a default palette for gifs. a gif can only hold 256 colors, so there really is no such thing as a 'high quality' animated gif.

however, programs like photoshop can export animated gifs with a 'selective palette', in which the software will chose 256 colors closest to what are used most often in the video sequence. whatever zekey uses to make animated gifs most likely does this. i use photoshop, after effects and premiere to do these things, but there are probably many other programs that do it
