the forums and the frontpage: connected!

Now that i've learned a little mysql, i was able to create a script that links the stories in the news section here to the stories on the front page. I've wanted to do this for a very long time but never knew how or had the motivation to learn it. But recently i've been programming a lot and i figured i'd give this a try, and it worked.  

Hopefully this will bring a little bit more unity to the forums and the rest of the site, which is the way i'd have had it to begin with. so from now on, I will be writing my front page posts in here, and forum news and thebackalleys news will be shared. Hopefully this thing doesn't break or explode when I post this. well here it goes!

oh yeah - all the old news stories are currently inaccessible, but i'll get working on a little archive if for some strange reason somebody wanted to go back and read them.

yeah, that's a typical trend in forums. although i don't really understand it, i've posted at least once in every forum i've registered on. i mean i had a reason to bother signing up lmao

unless that is it's a site that forces you to register to download something then you're part of the forums automatically etc

sinister was only here to 'troll' if that's what you want to call it. i tolerated him for a really long time, i even let him stay after he flooded the forums with wps twice. actually, i wasn't the one that banned him first - taylor did. i agreed with his decision and decided to add an IP ban. there's no reason for him to be around and he didn't contribute to the community at all.
