i think he means cuz everyone who is COOL and has REAL DRAWING ABILITY tells me not to draw in detail since I don't use "proper anatomical structure" and whatever else you can throw at me

i think a little of what is going on here is the phenomenon of people of one race thinking people of another race all look the same. jazz can probably see a big difference in where squeef can't. but on the other hand i can see what they're talking about. anyway, some people are really attached to their characters, and if they want to draw them over and over that's their own business. if they're picky about it then they're just reacting naturally. everyone gets defensive about their art. and if they keep doing it they eventually will never get valid criticism anymore. and maybe that's what they want.

although you always come here for critique jazz. so it's kind of strange that you'd respond to all of it with a defensive statement. if your audience has pointed something out that they see, they're probably right. no one's forcing you to change it, though. agree to disagree i suppose

It's probably because I'm trying to make something that people will enjoy without being a popularity whore. I tend to listen to people too much when it comes to my work, so when somebody says something I actually disagree with, a defensive statement's the usual reaction. I'll try to catch myself about to do that tho

I can see where you were going with the leafs but they are more distracting than anything else. It need to be more connected to the picture. Also please don't use brushes that does stuff like that for you, it's really cheap. Also if you take those leafs away, the picture wouldn't be anything special, so that's also a cheap thing and it distracts you from faults...
