My friend also introduced me to pencils that have different boldness's. She says they're for shading and what not. I need to learn how to properly shade.

I HATE those pencils
Ive got em and theyre nice but theyre so much more difficult to use than regular lead pencils
I can get the same effect from either pencils )':

I still prefer my mechanical pencil to anything else. It just feels right.
You could archive the same effect with normal pencils but I do find the thicker ones to great at out lining. The rest seem useless to me.

No i figured it would take a while.
Its just the interface and sensitivity was much different then what I expected.

Dug up an old recording and decided  to try out some animation. I really cheaped out on the walking motion so It looks like he is putting his foot in and out. I still lack consistency, so i have to go with the sketch-esque look.

Read some Maupassant, or rather anything that interests you (I shouldn't be plugging writers that I particularly enjoy!)

It seems you are very optimistic and idealistic I think you could do with some Naturalist theory work!
