del toro is quickly becoming my favorite director, i fully enjoyed hellboy 2. Krauss was a good character and the monster designs were great as usual cept the angel of death was really random and poorly explained.
also i really like Del's not gorilla stuff

Alonso Duralde wrote that the "sitcom-ish" character dilemmas were uninteresting, saying that Perlman and Tambor's performances were regularly let down by the script. He said that Blair's performance was possibly the first bad one he'd seen by the actress, and that while Jones was "brilliant" physically, his vocal performance was inferior to David Hyde Pierce's in the first Hellboy film

also yeah the visuals were wonderful but that was the only good thing

Hellboy 2 was about as close to perfect as any comic movie I have seen has come. OK maybe not, but I still say it's a masterpiece.
