"Metal Gear Funnies" isn't parodying the MGS Collab at all, nor is it parodying the stream of other low-quality-highly-rated MGS videos that have been submitted since Egorapter's origional (if you can call it that) "Metal Gear Awesome" way back in 06'. Infact, this video isn't parodying MGS in any way, shape, or form.

Read the author's comments for God's sake!

This isn't a parody, this is animated commentary on the current state of affairs of Newgrounds itself! Newgrounds has always been a place where the people who produce flash, and the people who consume said flashes have never been too far in number from one another. Recently, the consumers have vastly outnumbered the producers, as the rappid inflation in scores has show since the redesign. Quality thusly can easily be argued to now equate to something else entirely, as this flash happens to illustrate quite nicely. Really, what is this flash other then a blunter version of what you people vote up every day, every week, and every month?

To those who can't seem to figure out why Tom put this on the front page, let me spell it out for you. He was here when Newgrounds started, and he has been here to watch it grow, diversify, and chage. He can see what it is now, and we can see what he thinks of it, now.
