Cut Out Tweened Animation

Does anyone here have a problem with the use of cut up photos to create animation. I know everyone here is always complaining about tweens, and rightly so for the most part, but even so, there are times when there use is appropriate. I myself am working on an experimental short film called "Into the Lockbox" that will be made entirely out of photos.



But yeh, just wondering about peoples opinions when it comes to non cartoon animation, whether it be serious or experimental, and the use of non tradtional techniques being used in the creative process.

ok we've been over the tween thing five billion times. anyway i've never used a flannelgraph style kind of animation. it can have humorous effects, i would imagine it being a very tedious process however

also i'd ditch the "experimental" it makes you sound like a douche and using paper cut-outs was experimental about 90 years ago

Im not here to argue about tweens, just asking about there application with this particular style. But im not really heading in a humerous direction with this particular project.

I guess when i say experimental i mean its like nothign else i personally have ever done.

Industries was more of a metaphor for my imagination as well as a fictional company that exists within my cartoons. It wasnt supposed to be taken in a literal sense. Youll see alot of references to Nimbin Industries as a company threw my future animations, its kinda like my version of Slusho i suppose.
