I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with ThirstyForChicken from NewGrounds, but he just finished up his first year at CalArts in animation, and he has posted his final project film for the year on youtube.

Right let's see if this works.

TFC's NG page is here, if you're interested.

That was incredible. I love how the main character always has this either bored or "what the fuck" look.

to embed just copy the parts after "watch?v=" and put them in [*youtube][/youtube*] tags. without the asterisk*

Also, isn't that some shit? I was literally JUST watching "A Simple Line 8" for the first time earlier today, and now I come to find your friend worked on it. Weird coincidence.
Oh, wretched ephemeral race ... why do you compel me to tell you what it would be most expedient for you not to hear? What is best of all is utterly beyond your reach: not to be born, not to be, to be nothing. But the second best for you is—to die soon.

Friend is a stretch. TFC and I have talked one on one like twice.

For some reason this reminds me of that short that Rtil made a while back with the kid and the bubblegum that eats him.
I need a good quote to go here S:

^ It actually kind of did. o:

That was pretty awesome though. Lol, I liked how they were in shock and he just gave them a look.

rtil

i wish they would have let me make a 2d short in my school. ironically enough they're beginning to allow it now . it was pretty good, but i'd expect only good work from a school that costs upwards around $40k a year to attend.

Then you'd be suprised to see some of the shorts. I've seen some pretty shit stuff from from CalArts students.

That's of an example of the quality teaching staff they have there.

that video seems like a joke

MRat

That's what I thought when he walked in and laughed, but the guy who posted it insists it's real.

Wow, that was pretty good.

You've got to be kidding me... 1/4th of that would be enough to cover my whole education fee here.
Quote from: Squeefhollywood just thought itd be cool to make goku an adult who uses uzis and drives ferraris

For me to have gone 4 years at NYU in their Theatre program, I would have to have paid 200, 000 dollars.
