he turned an earnest critique into some sort of circus and basically just flat out called me useless, when what I had to say was pretty clearly right.

I'm actually very used to seeing the value in constructive critiques I'm given. Honestly, If I wasn't, I wouldn't have any work.

My weakness, I guess, is not taking kindly to being called horrible. Though if I actually was, again... I wouldn't be working.

Tom Cruise. Cam Clark. Kagome... the list goes on and on. In fact, often enough, the worse jobs done are those that are the most popular. Look at Egoraptor. Horrible cartoons, yet they're the most popular things.






And I never said YOU were horrible D-Mac, I said the job you did was. And frankly, it was. The most important thing in voice acting is going to always be to sound natural, like you're a believable person. And you didn't. It's that simple.

fun != good. Fun is fun. That doesn't make it good. The flash in question was a serious drama piece, and he sounded like he woke up and mumbled into the microphone then went back to sleep. It drew all the attention away from the dialogue and put the focus on his voice itself, which is terrible.
