I highly suggest you watch the 47 minute long movie entitled "Money as Debt", you can search for it on Google. It is on Google Video, YouTube, and probably other places. It is, if nothing else, interesting for understanding how the American and consequently the World Economy works. How Banks can create money out of thin air.

I don't know much about how this all works or anything, but from watching that movie I feel pretty miserable about the state of the world.
