I liked the episode. It sure wasn't a imagination land episode but seriously it wasn't that bad. I don't think that Matt and Trey ran out of ideas either, that's what they've been doing all the time.

honestly i think sp's writing has been getting gradually gayer since 2000's started cause the show primarily became just another socio-commentary on modern day living
