I convert everything into a graphic and then export it scene by scene as uncompressed AVIs. Then i recompile them in Windows Movie Maker. I started doing it original to get my shit on DVD for cons and the like, but yeh, now i use it for youtube aswell.

Yeh, ive been told that, but i tend to animate with avi's in mind, and it also means i can export my movies in HD which is handy when theyre getting projected onto theatre screens and the like. After Effects i have wanted for a long while, ive never used it before but it looks like something id have alot of fun with, especially since i love animating over shot footage so much.

i don't really get what you're saying. how do AVI files have anything to do with HD format video?

I can upscale the video when im exporting directly from the FLA without having to worry about pixelation and that sort of shit.

extracting from an swf is exactly the same thing. swf to video converters typically allow you to specify an aspect ratio/width-height setting for your output
