Getting the pics is the hard part, i only really get given what my friends dont use in there shoots. Most stock artists like to take a cut of the profit, which isnt very much, but at the same time the prints generally only just cover the cost of having a table at a con so id be doing cons at a loss, this is the only way ive found to compete against the naruto fan artists in profits at these things. Id like to do alot cooler things but at the moment due to work and whatnot im more of a dabbler, tho i was doing vector art as a job for a long while, they were more for use in banner advertising then graphic art. In any case, i live in a really isolated area so i cant go out there and get my friends to model for me mainly due to most of them living 5 to 6 hours away. Im not an artist, nor am i an animator, im just a doodler.

I started on this last night, put about 4 hours in so far. I know its not very impressive, im just kinda doing it for something to do i guess, i know that if i dont finish it quick i will never get it finished.

I can assure you if i were to spend more then a week on this i would never get it finished. And im learning as i go, i havent had any training in illustration or animation, i just kinda work it out as i got through trial and error.

yeh essentially, well except withing the clip where he blinks close up.

ive found im alot better at fbf particle effects then ful fbf character animation.

All part of the learning experience i suppose.

I actually like the overlay effect on the screenshots you posted but the intro is really gay.

it has some nice qualities to it but the characters aren't popping from the backgrounds enough. it's because of the vast amount of black you are using in the clouds and outlines of the backgrounds

yeh, ive been thinking that, couldnt decide whether or not to go back threw it and recolour the character outlines or background outlines.

Im a Les Claypool fan, tho i prefer his Frog Brigade work to his Primus stuff. Anyways, i felt like doing something a little different and thus this little sketch was born.

Frog Brigade and the Bucket of Brains or whatever band are easily Claypool's best. I could listen to that shit all day long.
