Let me just say that tweening seems to be more suited for animation of the environment, ie: mountains and trees passing behind a wooden fence passing behind a house. For character animation FBF is the best, and even most efficient way to achieve high quality organic animation. I advocate a healthy helping of both. Not to mention 3D.. For one movie I'm making now I'm taking basic 3D movies of solid objects flying around, in this case a spaceship, and then turn that into a transparent gif and overlay it into flash. Most of the animation is 2D fbf, but having 3D elements, or rendered 3D static images, gives it that added pizazz.

The point I'm getting at it this: Did I spell pizazz right?
I'm shaving my head for cancer..
