And T-Bone, I'm appualed as to why you think this. It really puts a damage on my view of society these days. My grandfather stands outside the local grocery store and collects money. The reason why the salvation army and the red cross were created was to help others, not keep the money all to themselves, no matter how large the contributed amount is.

I wouldn't trust people collecting for a charity either, but I would trust their superiors not to trust them either and thus devise ways of making sure they can be trusted before sending them collecting. Paranoia's fine, just be logical about it.
