What if your favourite musician went back in time 200-300 years

Let's say one of your favourite musicians (such as one from the 60s, 70s, 80s, or even today) randomly got transported back in time to around 1723 to 1823 (ie. late-Baroque / Classical era), and have to make new music using what's available at the time.

Would they be able to adjust to their new culture, and how would other people (and composers) react to the music they create?

i think if they got their hands on a mandolin & some sticks to slap together animal collective could get back to their acoustic-folk roots & thrive in prehistoric baltimore. maybe they could bring peace & enlightened good vibes to tha colonies & save us all a lot of trouble... maybe they'd come back to the future & find a utopian pepperland paradise with a stone statue of their mythical selves in the center of town. that would be cool

i'm picturing Tatsuro Yamashita going back in time with his long flowing hair and guitar singing his way to the history books. really, any talented musician would probably be fine as long as they can sing and play an acoustic instrument
