Episode 2 was fucking amazing. The music, the pacing, the action, the art, aku, holy shit

It's truely trail-blazing. I wonder if there will be any filler eps, though I would assume they are just going to finish everything off once and for all and get it over with.

I love how it still keeps with the episodes being super serious but with a goofy thing here or there. Like the robot assassin with the charlie brown 70s flute.

I'm still surprised it's actually happening. And damn is it good

probably the latter considering it's a limited series and genndy knew exactly how much airtime he had to utilize. i'd prefer it that way, as much as some of the 'filler' of the first 4 seasons could be fun, we've waited a decade for an ending

Yeah. Hopefully the ratings will be good enough to do more shows like this. I mean CN has had good stuff like Gumball and Over The Garden Wall these past few years but nothing to SJs level.

Hopefully this will spark something.

The good eps just keep rolling on. I hear that because of S5s sucess, they may pay for another season taking place between seasons.

Also Scaramouche and the talking penis

I'd watch Samurai Jack when I happened to be watching the television and it was on, mainly just because I was a Cartoon Network junkie. Its pacing was something I never appreciated when it first came out, probably because I was too young and preferred things like Powerpuff Girls. And Dragon Ball Z for some reason, though the pacing in that was just awful. Possibly because, while Dragon Ball Z had a lot of "I'm totally about to fight you, and I will punch you hard, and it will be very hard, and then after 10 episodes I'll claim to stop holding back," it did feel like it was going somewhere eventually. Samurai Jack seemed like self-contained episodes in a long journey but with no clear indication that Jack was ever getting remotely near his ultimate goal. But then maybe I'm just remembering it wrong.

In any case I'm enjoying the latest season now, and watched enough of the previous seasons to illicit an "oh, yay" from me when the Scotsman appeared again. The pacing and visuals and audio are nice, even if parts of the plot of predictable and dumb at some points. There isn't a lot of thinking involved in enjoying it, which suits me at the moment.
