I have not read the manga

I have not read enough manga to understand the sheer genius that Nanatsu no taizai carries and continues to develop

I don't understand that some manga are so great that people will suffer through a shitty a1 pictures adaption just to enjoy just a little more of the magic in a series

I'm in it for the making manga great again-ness

[spoiler]although tbf the the fucking thing that got me into it because was a beautifully illustrated and tremendously cute doujin involving diane and king but after about 6 chapters of the source material I was fucking hooked, even blew dorohedoro out of the water.
There's something addicting to feeling like you know what will happen next due to your experience and then getting completely blindsided.[/spoiler]

Also I had really low expectations at first, because the first thing that came to mind was "lol monstergirls knockoff" but I was really pleasantly surprised that the characters actually had some depth and development. And all the gay heartwarming moments.

Disagree (though could be convinced) about the characters having depth, but if it warms your heart then I think it's serving its purpose. Urara Meirochou is my preferred moeblob GAOTS but it's targeted squarely at a hetero male audience. My main problem with Maid Dragon is that it bills itself as a comedy and I think it fails on that front, though the genre tag probably more accurately implies "comfy" and "light-hearted" which I never thought were qualities that stood well on their own.

I'd rank the ones I haven't dropped after episode 3 thusly:
