I'm making this mostly to get edification for myself regarding a simple concept that popped into my head today that I have melted 3 people's brains with even though it seems like a simple concept to me.
It is as follows:

When turning an object inside out, one also turns it outside in

therefore: inside out = outside in

The examples that started tripping people up where as follows:

Imagine taking a piece of cloth, say a shirt or a pants leg seperated from it's host, take the object, and then roll it inside out, now that the inside is out, the outside is also in.
Is this not a fair statement?
