Bamyasi

Has anyone really been far as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

ExBerian

Think this has to do with the topic, if not yell at me and what not.

People at the school are advocating for non gender bathrooms are literally SJW sheep, as in all the schools around campus renamed the one person family bathrooms to "gender neutral bathrooms."

They don't even understand that gender neutral bathrooms that house multiple people at once is illegal because despite us putting "men" and "women" on bathrooms, they really stand for male and female since the only reason for bathroom segregation is because of your genitals, not by what you or anyone else perceives your gender as.

Canadian whiskey is good

Bamyasi

My idiot state just passed legislation preventing people from using bathrooms/locker rooms based on their gender identity.

Unisex bathrooms were already gender neutral so I don't really see the point renaming them, even though sex != gender obviously.

I think the logical solution is to just ban public bathrooms/locker rooms altogether. They're disgusting anyway.

only one instance, and I feel I may have been in the wrong myself

was at a party talking with a bunch of people and this one girl mentions she has a tatoo on one of her breasts. we all had a bit to drink so a few of us casually asked if we could see it, and she responds " I literally cannot stand your guys' rape culture right now"

we all apologized and nothing really came of it
<+fawx> im trying to animate a dick coming out of a toaster how do i go on about doing this
<~rtil> well fawx what you would do is delete the fla and do something productive instead

<+ansel> i lure children into my van with candy and then i read them passages from 'the origin of species'
<%ropesnake> billy con ends with billy raping his cat
<+billymonks> FUCK YOU BUG

<~rtil> ya one time i gave this hobo some cat food and he ate it like the animal he is it pleased me

ExBerian

Now did you say "Mam may I see that personal artwork that you have adorned on your bousums?" or "Hay bitch lets see them tatted titties?"

The opposite.
So the problem is that people who identify as a man have to go to the Mens? But I am guessing you mean the opposite.

Bamyasi

I really don't get why someone would advertise having a tattoo on a non-sexual area like that unless they were after attention for it. Like I wouldn't tell anyone where my birthmark was unless I planned on showing it to them later.

You're drunk and quoting posts I haven't made yet.

Tattoo- Maybe she wanted to let off some steam and yell at people.

Drunk- No I'm not, sorry though I just fixed that post.
What I was gonna say is that I think that if you identify as the gender you were not born with, that's fine. But the segregation of the bathrooms is because of genital reasons, so it does not make much sense to switch bathrooms. Well I guess since they are named  men and women.

Bamyasi

But it does make sense to switch bathrooms though. A trans person using a bathroom of the gender they don't identify as could put their life in danger.

It's okay I'm a bit tipsy as well.

ExBerian

The urinals might realize that there is a vagina in front of it and do a defcon 7 move on that person... maybe even defcon 6, the invisible one.

Bamyasi

If the urinals were sentient lifeforms capable of violence yes.

2015 saw the murder rate of transgender individuals at an all time high.

It doesn't even have to be murder really, any physical or verbal violence would qualify.

Of course there's also a chance of this happening in their preferred bathroom/locker room, but in that case the state wouldn't have as much blame to shoulder I guess.

She sounds annoying. I guess getting the tattoo and explaining that she had it was all empowering or something. I wonder if she'd have acted so offended if she'd made a new feminist friend that asked the same question.

Meaning biological female sex people who identify as male would be unable to use the male bathrooms.

People with vaginas wouldn't use urinals obviously, and aside from that it's not really about your genitals. A (trans) person using a bathroom where they don't blend in is what would put them in danger, whichever way they identify. Gender-specific public bathrooms are generally stressful or problematic if you're not clearly one sex or the other regardless of whether and to what degree you are trans*.

The state can't get it right either way, because a biological female that identifies as a man could look either like a girl or a guy depending on how far along in the transition they are, and it's the outward appearance with which people are uncomfortable. I know some places that imposed the same ban that Bam mentioned with the reasoning being that if they didn't people could claim to identify as the opposite gender, pre-everything, in order to gain access to the other person's bathroom and be a sexual predator. But now they can just claim to be a post-everything trans person and do the same, solving nothing.

A couple more unisex toilets here and there would probably solve most of these issues.

Wouldn't the number of outwardly transgender people be at an all-time high ATM too? Despite not being good, I feel like the present day and age in getting increasingly better for LGTMW/E peeps as time goes on.

basketweaver

"Hey, the way you're broadcasting your sexuality is making me feel uncomfortable."
"Get over it! You don't get to talk about feeling uncomfortable! This is about equality and the greater good!"

"I think that abortion is wrong, I'm a conservative, and I'm also voting for Donald Trump."
"OMG TRIGGER WARNING! We need safe spaces from people like you!"

This is obviously a phony argument of course. Don't take it too seriously. I just think it's just kind of funny that trigger warnings are used as a safety measure to ensure that radical liberals are always comfortable and never have their feelings violated, yet this same privilege is always denied to conservatives. Feeling uncomfortable is just one aspect of a complete life, just like how it's impossible to live a life without suffering.

Also, I think that Male/Female bathrooms are just literally incompatible with non-binary genders. I think that a trans person who positively identifies with either Male or Female should just use the bathroom corresponding to their identity, but I also think that people who obviously aren't one or the other need to use non-binary bathrooms. I mean, what's stopping someone from deceitfully pretending that they identify as another gender in order to get access to different bathrooms? There really just is no easy solution to this.

I understand where this anxiety stems from but I also think it's blown way out of proportion. The places in my state where people were allowed to use the bathroom/locker room of their gender identity never had any problems with this. Preds gonna pred, no matter what methods they are or aren't allowed to used.

I have no idea. I haven't been deeply involved in this cause since high school. You bring up a good point that "passable" trans people are likely to be unaffected by this legislation.

one way of diffusing gender bias-related tension is to call females 'boi' and males 'gurl'

Haha I remember that video.

I wish flirting with coworkers wasn't literally my only creative outlet at work. I've never used any of those lines before though. Maybe I should(?)

rtil

you never know who might be in the mood for a powerfuck

Bamyasi

I would love a powerfuck but unfortunately I have no power.

How does one acquire power? Do I just have to fuck someone more powerful than me?
